My second Hurricane?  This one didn't even effect us.  And they only gets worse from here on out!  We got caught in the rain biking.  That was pretty fun.  Got pretty soaked.

Man! I cannot believe everyone that is coming home!  Time just flies by!  It's going to be a crazy year next year for returning missionaries, Jentry, Hunter, Steven, me, James! ** Just in like a few months!  It's about time Spencer and Mich got their papers in!  I'm not saying it will happen again, but if one of them got called here.  That would be crazy! Even more crazy if I train them or something!  haha. 

Sounds like a crazy 4th of July Week!  I sure miss y'all!  Wish I could hang out with Dex right now!  I got the mini care package.  I'm going to have to send back the BYU Vocal Point CD, because it has "Apostate" songs on there.  Really.  I could only listen to "I Stand All Amazed" haha 

Oh, I'll send pictures, but I am actually a pretty good cook!  We barely get fed here and so I've been experimenting with things!  Most of them turn out pretty good! Elder Rawlings is a good cook too!

This week we found 3 new investigators.  Hopefully they are "solid" most of them that we find just accept a return appointment to be nice..

**Elder Beach forgot about all the Sister Missionaries from our ward that will be returning in the next few months:  Sister Kenedi Ayre, Sister Jenni Forsey, Sister Hana Tautaiolefue and Sister Kimmi Forsey and Rachel Whitmer.  Then, coming home the same month as Elder Beach will be Sister Amanda Ayre. Followed by then Sister Emma Driggs.  Our Ward is truly blessed to have so many missionaries!

Training isn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I just still hate getting up at 6:30 in the morning . Elder Rawlings is a great missionary!  He loves hard work.  On Saturday we tracted for 5 hours.  That was fun. Met quite some interesting people.

Almost got mauled by a pittbull (no such thing as a Nanny Dog).  We got chased by a HUGE Pitt bull , that was pretty crazy!  It was comin at me on the bike and so i kicked it in the head...

We got a referral from one of our investigators. Her name is P.  She is such a nice lady. She's probably around grandma's age. She is so ready for the gospel.  Her husband died about a year ago I think, she has all sorts of medical problems and I know the Gospel will help her!

How did Dex like Trek?  I know I always said I would never do Trek again, but I totally miss it.  It was such a great experience for me.  I wish I would have taken "spiritual things" a lot more seriously back home.  Oh, well.  We learn.

How was Tammy's baptism?  What do you think of her family? That's exciting the Karlissa was able to Skype for her baptism!  I don't think President Bernhisel would have allowed that.  Because we were in bed by the time she was baptized.  She got baptized at 8PM right?

Uhh, that just about does it. I heard Chris and Dominiic's wedding went great!  We actually stopped by the Schleich's, they are good friends with Chris and Dom, also members.  Sister Schleich took pictures for them . I was a little bummed about not being able to go, but oh well.  I'm already in a ward where my uncle lives!  That still is crazy to me and other missionaries.  Oh well. We know for sure that I was meant to be here!

Here is Elder Beach with his new companion Elder Rawlings. This is Elder Rawlings first Sunday in our ward. We had an after church dinner for all the missionaries and some investigators. We are so glad to have them with us. They will be a good team.

Monday's Email - June 16, 2014

I will be a trainer now and moving back to the Fayetteville Apartment.

What the heck are you thinking!?  I cannot believe you got me another GPS!  I cannot express how grateful I am!  Thank you so much!  I really love the Sons of Helaman necklace as well!  I loved it all! Thank you so much!

[Chris & Dominiic are getting married June 28 and relatives will be attending the wedding]  I am going to ask if I can go on exchanges on Sundays and go to the 4th Ward in case Grandma comes.  I don't feel like it would be fair to my greenie, especially with him just coming out. You are a lot more homesick your first few weeks. 

Yeah no, that's not "girl's camp".  Camping consists of tents and nature, not a huge mansion and bowling.  And, in the 3rd Ward you're not camping unless someone almost dies!

[Aunt Jessie ran the Drop 13]…OOO fun! I wish I could have run that with them!   

[Regarding family dinner]  Mmmmmm baked beans and potato salad. My mouth is watering. I might have told you but I Love, Bush's Baked Beans!

Okay, this might sound like a joke, but I'm dead serious.  Can you send me some Cafe Rio?  Put it in a Styrofoam box with Dry Ice and ship it here?  I cannot tell you how bad I am craving it.

[Regarding the Caruso Family (see previous post)—They have 3 missionaries serving right now, with a 4^th ready to serve soon!]  Yeah! Seriously! Their daughter gets back this Friday actually.

I'm not joking about the Cafe Rio. The nearest one is in Virginia.  I've been thinking about saving up the money y'all send me and giving it to Chris and Dominiic to make a road trip up there, paying for gas and the Cafe Rio, to bring to me.

[With Elder Beach talking about Café Rio, that reminded Momma Beach that she wrapped a new pair of slacks in a Café Rio bag (yes, I am horrible, that has already been determined.) ] Awe man. Oh well. It's okay! maybe I wasn't supposed to get the package for a reason!

I would really love Cafe Rio. That would be the best package ever.  Like hands down.  Like I am smiling from ear to ear because you said you would work on it.  

[Regarding becoming a trainer] And I don't really have a choice, but to be ready for tomorrow.  Keep me in your prayers!

Okay, well I gotta get going.  And yes I seriously would cry if I was able to get Cafe Rio.  I'd probably give her a hug too!  I can't stop smiling.  I am so giddy right now.  I can't get over it!

I love being a missionary!  It is so great!  It is the hardest thing I have ever loved to do!  It's more of a mental game than anything. 

Father's Day - June 15, 2014

I just wanted to wish my Dad, a Happy Father's day! I am so grateful to be able to call you my dad. This past General Conference talk "The Priesthood Man" given by President Henry B. Eyring made me think of you. You are such a great example to me in every way possible. By working hard, doing your best to magnify you calling in church, serving others, always being happy. I want to be just like you when I grow up. You are my hero. I love you, Dad.

Technical Difficulties

Oh, last night I had Ox tails for dinner. They are pretty good!  It looks just like meat but with bone in the middle. It is really good. 

Oh I have a picture of me throwing up a few weeks ago from having a pizza eating contest with Elder McHan...I ate 7 he ate 8 [slices]. I have a video of it. 

7 Huge Domino's pieces/slices. I still regret eating that much.  Elder McHan didn't throw up.  We showed the picture to an investigator last night and he said it looked like I threw up a kidney as well, since so much came out! haha
