HELLO!
So
this week was pretty good!
I
went on exchanges with one of the Zone Leaders. I had a pretty good time down
in the Hope Mills area. We had a lot of
teaching appointments. One of them was
for a Recent Convert. A little
background, her father lives with her and is very old and sick. A few weeks ago he went to the hospital and
then came out of the hospital worse. When
we went over he could not move. He could
not sit up in bed. He couldn't do
anything. His daughter, that we were
visiting, has to carry him everywhere. She asked if we could give him a blessing
right when we got there, so we did, and went on with our lesson.
We
then had another lesson right after this one with a Less-Active a few doors
down. We went to that appointment and as
we were leaving, we got a text from the Recent Convert saying her Dad just got
out of bed and in his wheel chair by himself! That was a huge testimony builder on the Power
of the Priesthood and blessings!
Another
fun and exciting thing that I did, that you will not believe, I ate Sushi. I had it for dinner and it was actually really
good. One of the Recent Converts in the
ward is from the Philippines. She made
us all kinds of sushi, I even ate eel sushi! It was actually pretty good! When we got to their house for dinner and I
heard we were having sushi for dinner, I was like uh oh... Looks like I'm going
hungry tonight . . . But I tried it and
fell in love with it! It was so good!
Elder
Rawlings and I are tired of not baptizing so we made a contract with each
other. We had the other elders over as
witnesses when we signed it. I'll send a
picture of it after this.
Umm I
can't really think of anything else to say.. but that's all! Hope y'all had a great week! Love ya!
Love,
Elder Beach
Elder Rawlings and Elder Beach
Momma Beach cried when she saw this... they are wearing their matching ties!
(I send each new companionship a matching tie.
I thought it would be a nice way to remember their time together.)
This is the contract. Yes. That is Blood.
Getting a pretty good tan line!
